Event WiFi with a captive portal

Thousands of phones. One login page with your sponsor on it.

Event WiFi is usually a password on a lanyard and a bill for bandwidth. Put a branded portal in front of it and it becomes attendee data, sponsor space and, if you want, a paid upgrade.

The opportunity

Your ticketing list says who bought. The WiFi says who turned up.

Tickets get transferred, comped and resold. The people actually walking your halls are a different list, and they all reach for the WiFi.

A login page catches them on the day, with consent, and puts your sponsor’s logo on the one screen everyone sees.

What to set up

How events and venues use it

Exhibitor codes

Hand out access codes with a usage limit and an expiry that matches the event dates.

Sponsor on the page

A banner or logo above the form. Every attendee who connects sees it.

Premium access

A paid day pass for faster or longer access, bought on the login page.

The follow-up

Next year’s early-bird email, sent to attendees who opted in.

Best plan for this: Pro. For paid passes. Codes and attendee capture work on Starter and Plus.

Questions

The things people ask first

Something else? Ask us.

Can it cope with a busy event?
The login page is hosted on our servers, not on your controller, and is light enough to load quickly on a crowded network. Capacity on the day still depends on your UniFi access points.
Can exhibitors get in without filling a form?
Yes. Give them an access code with a usage limit and an expiry date that matches the event.
Can I charge for WiFi at an event?
On the Pro plan, yes. Sell a day pass or a weekend pass, paid by card or PayPal on the login page.
Can I put a sponsor on the page?
Yes. The landing page is yours to design, so a sponsor logo or banner can sit above the form.

See it on your own WiFi.

Book a demo and we will walk you through a login page in your colours. Bring your UniFi questions. There is no contract to sign on the call.
